WOW Book Club

The February book club discussion is around Radium Girls by Kate Moore. This is a shocking heartbreaking story of corporate greed and denial. Hundreds of girls toil amidst the dust of radium in dial factories. This was considered a lucky job until they began to fall ill from it.

We always welcome new members, even if you’ve never been to a book club. You can join us every month or only occasionally throughout the year. You can lead a session or simply come to join the discussion. Food and drinks can be purchased at the restaurant. There’s always good fellowship available! No RSVP needed.

Contact Sue Siewert with any questions (see contact information below).

(The Book Club meets every fourth Thursday at 1:00 PM. A different book is selected for each month.)

WOW Book Club

The January book to be discussed is The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel. This is a story of the French Resistance told through the eyes of a woman who used her artistic talents to forge documents. This true story details how hundreds of Jewish children were able to flee the Nazis in World War II through her talent.

No RSVP is required. Lunch can be purchased at the café. Even if you have never been to a book club, it is a welcoming casual venue.
